The Mossy Log aims to educate, inform and inspire people by providing a hub of information, media and resources all about Sphagnum and their ecosystems. The Earth is a planet of unfathomable diversity and depth, and limitless wonder can be found within a single ecosystem, even within a single plant. Peatlands are historically misunderstood ecosystems and Sphagnum is a little known plant. However, both are incredibly fascinating and beautiful parts of our world and it is the mission of this website to showcase that beauty and diversity.

As an ongoing project, The Mossy Log continually compiles new information, articles, photos and links to further reading that will be intriguing to general readers, as well as useful to researchers.
